Daniel Salahuddin, MD, MPH

  • Family Medicine/Psychiatry
  • Chief Resident

I am relatively new to Pittsburgh, having moved here for residency. I grew up in Bradenton, FL, completed my undergraduate studies outside of Tampa at Saint Leo University, and attended medical school at the University of Miami (Go Canes!). I came to McKeesport primarily because it truly felt like a family and I felt that it would provide me with the training opportunities necessary to develop into the physician I knew I wanted to become. Additionally, I knew that there would be ample opportunities to be involved with various community engagement initiatives. I’m proud to say that those various aspects have certainly proven themselves to be true. Outside of the patient care context, I helped to form the Community Health Committee and am also a member of the Steering Committee for the Coalition of Residents & Fellows of Color (C-ROC).  In my free time I enjoy staying active, being outdoors, eating, cooking/baking, traveling, being with friends and family, and staying politically engaged.
