Adam Recht MD

  • Family Medicine/Psychiatry

I am originally from San Diego, CA but left the sunny weather for Boston to attend Brandeis University where I majored in theater and biology. I spent two years in New York City at Columbia University’s Cardiothoracic Surgery Depart as a Research Assistant and Preservationist on heart and lung transplants. After, I made my way to Albany, NY for medical school. There, I focused my time on LGBTQ health and sang with the medical school’s a cappella group, the KeyTones.

I chose to do a dual family medicine/psychiatry program to better integrate psychiatry into the primary care setting with an emphasis on the LGBTQ community. I specifically was interested in the McKeesport program because of its emphasis on the underserved and its dedication to its community.
